Gibson Mental Health is a mental health counseling clinic based in Vancouver, Canada. Their mission is to provide creative, evidence-based counseling that fosters meaningful and lasting change for individuals across British Columbia. With a commitment to compassionate care and innovative therapy approaches, the clinic serves a diverse range of clients seeking mental health support.
The challenge
Gibson Mental Health needed a complete transformation of its outdated website. The clinic’s owner had a clear vision for expanding the business and improving its digital presence but was limited by an old website that was difficult to update and lacked the flexibility to grow. He wanted a modern, easy-to-manage website that could evolve alongside the clinic and support new initiatives, but his existing platform made that impossible. The goal was to create a professional, scalable online presence that not only represented the clinic’s mission but also stood out in the market.
Branding
To create a brand that truly represented Gibson Mental Health, we started by exploring multiple concept ideas. After discussions with the owner, we landed on a unique approach—integrating his passion for wildlife photography, specifically mallard ducks, into the clinic’s branding. This gave Gibson Mental Health a distinct identity that set it apart from other counseling clinics. To further reinforce a sense of empathy, calmness, and connection to nature, we chose Cotswold Green as the primary brand color. The result was a brand that felt personal, inviting, and aligned with the clinic’s values.

The website
With the branding in place, the next step was designing and developing a website that was not only visually appealing but also functional and easy to manage. We prioritized a minimalist, professional layout that made it effortless for visitors to navigate and find the information they needed. Using sleek animations and clean typography, we enhanced readability and engagement, creating a website that felt modern yet welcoming.
The site was built in Webflow, allowing for a completely custom, high-performance experience. One of the key priorities was making it easy to update as the clinic grew. To accomplish this, I implemented CMS collections for team members, blogs, and events, enabling the owner and his team to make updates without needing technical expertise. Additionally, the website was designed to be fully responsive and fast-loading, ensuring a seamless experience across all devices.
Analytics
To help Gibson Mental Health make informed business decisions, I set up custom analytics and conversion tracking. We defined key performance metrics and built an easy-to-read analytics dashboard to monitor visitor behavior, form submissions, and engagement levels. With these insights, the clinic owner could better understand how people interacted with the website, refine marketing strategies, and make data-driven decisions to grow the business.
